Way before the food blogging craze, I first heard of Phnom Penh from Bob back in high school. As first-timers, we had no idea what to get, but we knew that this was the “it” place to be for good Vietnamese and Cambodian food. I still vividly remember being unimpressed with the food because I had a boring bowl of vermicelli, while Bob had shrimp cane skewers and a drink.
To date, Phnom Penh is probably one of the most talked-about restaurants in Greater Vancouver for their distinctive specialty dishes. Whenever I have relatives coming over to visit, they almost always request Phnom Penh as part of the “Vancouver” experience.
Since there are well over a hundred or so blog posts about this place, I’ll let the photos do the talking this time around 😉
